MG or MGT Wire , also known as mica wire, is insulated with glass reinforced mica tapes, and then a high temperature overall fiberglass braid is added. It's designed for a wide range of applications, including domestic and commercial ovens, cooking appliances, electrical heaters, similar high temperature equipment, and other applications up to 842°F (450°C).
